This table lamp is made from an oak beam salvaged from Garret Hall Barn, Tyldelsly near Manchester. The now demolished agricultural barn was a Grade II listed building.  The beam was one of several pieces selected for tree-ring dating (Dendrochronology). The beam was dated to 1534 and was felled sometime during the 1490s.  The lamp base measures c.40cm high and c.35cm on its widest side.  The power cable is c.1.5m long with a single in-line switch.  The lampshade is included in the sale if required.
