Watercress Woodcrafts is ran by Dr Mike Cressey who is a retired archaeologist and hobby Woodturner. He took up turning as a prelude to retirement six years ago and his work has sold in several local galleries.

Mike’s inspiration comes from the wood itself and the varied shapes and forms used in Roman and Medieval pottery.

He prefers to let the wood speak for itself and tends to make items that are meant to be used in the home. Some of these items can be found in our online shop.
